The race to reach net zero in Canada is creating a great deal of excitement and a rush to bring green energy projects to market. But key to laying track ahead of this speeding train is an understanding of how best to tackle and share risk, to scale and incubate new technologies and to ensure private finance is used appropriately to stretch tax dollars further and to provide additional project oversight. Our panel will take a look at the state of play for these issues in Canada’s alternative green energy projects such as district energy, geothermal, energy storage, hydrogen and waste energy and examine how new government-related entities such as the newly created Canada Growth Fund can help accelerate the country in meeting these critical targets.
